Dr. Nikhil M. Kumar is a consultant hematologist in the Department of Hematology and Bone Marrow Transplant at Rajagiri Hospital. Dr. Kumar obtained his MBBS degree from St. John’s Medical College, Bangalore, followed by internal medicine residency at Gauhati Medical College. He then pursued super-specialization in Hematology at the prestigious All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi.

His clinical and research interests span plasma cell disorders, bone marrow transplantation, and novel therapeutic strategies in hematologic malignancies. Dr. Kumar focuses on optimizing.treatment pathways, transplant outcomes, and patient-centered care in a wide range of benign and malignant hematological disorders. Dr. Kumar has authored peer-reviewed publications in both national and international journals and has contributed to advancing the understanding and management of hematological disorders through his academic work and clinical practice . He has been at the forefront of innovative therapeutic strategies like CAR T cell and immunotherapy and has served as co-investigator for various clinical trials in hematology like MAJESTEC-9, MonumenTAL6 and DRL 1801 CAR T trial.
